Pepperfry CEO: Ambareesh Murty died at the age of 51 due to cardiac arrest

Co-founder and CEO of pepperfry, Ambareesh Murty died at the age of 51 due to cardiac arrest. He took his last breath in Leh on Monday, 7 August.

Another co-founder and COO Ashish Shah of pepperfry informed about Murty demish on Twitter. “Extremely devastated to inform that my friend, mentor, brother, soulmate @AmbareeshMurty is no more. Lost him yesterday night to a cardiac arrest at Leh. Please pray for him and for strength to his family and near ones,” tweeted by Ashish Shah.

The co-founder of Cash Karo, Swati Bhargava also tweeted for Murty demish, “So sad & shocking to hear of @AmbareeshMurty’s sudden demise due to cardiac arrest. May his soul rest in peace. An amazing entrepreneur & inspiration to many… may his legacy with @Pepperfry live on 🙏 #RIP.”

He announced 12 years at Pepperfry in his LinkedIn post and he was alumnus of IIT Calcutta of the batch 1996 from where he completed his Bachelor in Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering in 1994.

Ambareesh founded the home decor company in Mumbai in 2012. He was also associated with eBay before Pepperfry company.

After completing graduation, Murty joined Cadbury as a management trainee and was sent to Kerala as an area sales manager and had worked various posts. He had 27 years of general management experience in FMCG, financial services and internet industries.

In 2012, he set up Pepperfry in Mumbai and delivered to 500 cities. He has three warehouses, 60+ experiential studios across 20 cities.
