OMG ! Tomato price touches the sky, know why tomato prices are rising ?

Nowadays, the rate of tomatoes is very high and there is no hope to see the downfall in the tomato rate.

A couple of days ago, the tomato price ranges between Rs. 300-500 per kilogram in Chandigarh.

In Gaziabad, the price is around Rs.250 per kilogram. According to agriculture scientists, the tomato price will increase and reach at Rs. 300 per kilogram.

Some people get in trouble because of the tomato price and some stop purchasing the tomatoes.

While the farmers seem to be happy during these days because they gain profit.

According to the department of consumer affairs, the tomato price is around Rs. 150 per kilogram or more in 54 cities.

The highest rate of tomatoes is Rs. 244 per kilogram in Hoshiarpur while the rate of tomatoes in Gaziabad is Rs. 190 per kilogram.

According to reports, the rate of tomatoes ranges between Rs. 40-50 per kilogram in some cities like Kolar, Mangaldoi, Golaghat and so on.

The price of tomatoes rises because the requirement is affected in some areas due to heavy rain.

Pradhan Brijmohan who is a vegetable market dealer association of sector -26 said that the crops of tomatoes got rotten because of heavy rain in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

The crops were not harvested because the roads were blocked due to heavy rain which affected the price of tomatoes and some other vegetables also.
