Mumbai Monsoon Updates: Late night Landslide in Raigad; 10 dead, several trapped in it

On Wednesday, more than 100 local trains were canceled after severe rainstorms battered sections of Maharashtra, including Mumbai and surrounding districts. Over 30 households are believed to be trapped in the landslide that occurred late Wednesday night in Raigad, where the India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a red signal.

The Thane, Palghar, and Raigad officials of the Maharashtra education department were given instructions to announce a vacation for educational institutions. Due to Mumbai Monsoon Updates: Late night Landslide in Raigad; 10 dead, several trapped in it, Thane, Raigad, and Palghar, on Thursday.
In order to examine the situation following the severe rain that struck the city and its environs, chief minister Eknath Shinde went to the Disaster Management Department at the headquarters of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday.

The Colaba and Santacruz observatories (indicators for the island city and suburbs) reported 98.4 mm and 52.8 mm of rainfall, respectively, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
