The Pixel 8 line of smartphones from Google is anticipated to go on sale in the fall of this year, and as is traditional, the search engine giant plans to introduce a new flagship feature along with the devices. This time, Google is rumored to be releasing a brand-new “Audio Magic Eraser” function that will let users eliminate annoying sounds from video footage.
With the Pixel 6, Google debuted the Magic Eraser feature, which let users utilize machine learning to erase undesired items from photographs. Google might now introduce the Audio Magic Eraser to further bolster its AI-ML toolkit as we transition to third-generation Tensor processors.

This leak follows the appearance of a purported Pixel 8 promo on X (formerly known as Twitter). The advertisement—posted on X by the user account “EZ”—highlights the newly added function known as “Audio Magic Eraser.” We can see the user utilizing the technology to “identify” sounds in a skating video in the leaked teaser. The phone divides the sounds into “Noise” and “People” after processing is complete. The skateboard sound and any background hiss noise are then instantly eliminated with only a tap by just lowering the “noise” by -20 points (potentially dB).
The inclusion of this feature in the Google Pixel 8 models will theoretically make it simple to turn off bothersome noises like traffic, fan noise, and more with just a few clicks.
“The only phone with Audio Magic Eraser,” the advertisement begins, before adding, “The only phone engineered by Google.”
What To Expect From The Google Pixel 8 Series
The rumored Pixel 8 Pro, which sports a triple camera configuration and a new blue hue, is also shown at the end of the movie. It is a more vivid shade of blue than the Pixel 7a’s blue color.
We may anticipate the Google Pixel 8 series to come in a brand-new blue color that we haven’t seen before if this promo is authentic, which is plausible considering Google’s history of leaks. In doing so, Google would maintain its practice of releasing fresh and intriguing color options with each new phone. However, since the leak was published by a brand-new account, it should be treated with caution because plans are always subject to modification prior to a product’s official introduction.
The Google Pixel 8 series is anticipated to look similar to the Pixel 7 Pro series, but it is also anticipated to include the third generation of the Tensor processor, the Tensor G3, which will be used in place of the Tensor used in the Pixel 6 series and the Tensor G2 used in the Pixel 7 series.
Additionally, the Pixel 8 is anticipated to have a triple-camera system with wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, and periscope telephoto lenses, while the Pixel 8 Pro is anticipated to have a dual-camera system with a wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lens.
