Dr. Ritu Karidhal: India’s ‘Rocket Women’ who is leading chandrayaan–3 mission

Today is a special day for India. Chandrayaan–3 launched from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh and it will land on the South pole of the moon on friday to collect information which nobody knows.This mission is important for us because the Dr. Ritu Karidhal who is popular by the name of ‘Rocket Women’ living in Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) is leading this mission.


She is a senior woman scientist and also a mission director of Chandrayaan–3 told by ISRO.
She was a deputy operation director of Mangalyaan and mission director of chandrayaan-2.
Dr. Ritu Karidhal was born in 1975 at Lucknow. She was interested in the moon, stars and sky. She took interest in collecting articles, news and photos of ISRO and NASA.
She completed their graduation and master in physics from Lucknow University. Then she took admission in IISC, Bangalore to complete her master degree in aerospace engineering.She started working in ISRO as an engineer in 1997.
This is the proudest moment for our nation.
