Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has made restrictions on using Mobile Phones and taking snapshots and videos inside the premises of the Kedarnath Temple. The Committee has put up boards at various spots in the temple which say,’ Do not enter the temple premises with a cell phone; any kind of photography and videography is completely prohibited inside the temple; and you are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras ‘.
They have also asked the people to wear “decent attire” and desist from setting up tents or camps in the temple. The boards are written in two languages i.e. Hindi and English so that people can understand them easily, They also stated that legal actionable things will be taken against those who are not following the orders.

Ajendra Ajay president of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Committee said that religious space follows a set of belief systems and the devotees should respect them. He also said although no complaints have come from Badrinath Dham yet, soon they will install boards there.
