Delhi police advised over using such routes owing to waterlogging, after heavy rain caused 3 deaths

Colossal flooding and waterlogging continued to scourge the national capital Delhi on Sunday causing traffic snarls and the lives of millions of people. People are seen tackling waterlogging. Travelers were witnessed pushing their motorcycles through the water.
According to the Delhi Traffic Police, people have been advised to avoid routes like Khan Market, Teen Murti round-about, GGR- PDR, A-point to W-point, Kamla Express Building, Andrews Ganj, Khanpur T-point, Under Railway Bridge at Bhairon Marg among other as roads in these areas remain waterlogged. Massive traffic jams and waterlogging were witnessed in several places in the city this morning even the main areas of the city, including ITO and Rajghat remained submerged.

The water level in Yamuna River was recorded at 206.14 meters at 6:00 a.m. in Delhi on Sunday. The water level is lowering slowly on Sunday morning, the condition from Majnu ka Tila to Kashmere Gate roads has turned over a new leaf as the water decreases slowly on Sunday morning.

Delhi continued to battle with serves flooding after record rainfall on Saturday evening. Besides, the release of water from Hathni Kund Barrage in Haryana swelled the water level in the Yamuna.
The Indian Meteorological Department on Friday predicted that Delhi is likely to receive light and moderate rain accomplished by thunderstorms during the next 4-5 days.
