Eye Flu: Cases increase in India, Know about the symptoms, Treatment and prevention

Conjunctivitis or eye flu is a type of infection which transfers one person to another. Conjunctivitis is a thin member which covers the eyeball which is also called a pink eye because it turns white eye ball into a pink eye. The cases of conjunctivitis are also known as eye flu which rises in Delhi and some of the Agra too.

According to the media reports, the doctor finds around 100 cases of eye flu in Delhi everyday as well as in some parts of the Agra too. Media reports say, the Opthalmology Department of SN Medical College and the district hospital of Agra treatment around 40% of the cases of eye flu.

The patient comes to the doctors with swallow red eyes and suffers with pain in the eyes when they visit the doctors.  Significantly, the case of eye flu is recorded everyday, especially in Delhi and some parts of Agra.

There are some reasons which cause conjunctivitis in your eyes:

Viruses, Bacteria, Chemicals, Parasites, Fungi, Wearing contact lenses, Pollution, Putting foreign bodies into your eyes and so on.

Some of the symptoms of pink eyes are:

Causes pink or red eyes in the white ball, swelling of eyes, Itching, Irritation, Burning, Increased tear production, Problem caused by contact lenses, crusting of eyelids and so on.

Treatment of eye flu:

If you face this type of symptoms in your eyes then you should consult your doctor. There are various antibiotics eye drops, eye ointments, lubricant and oral anti-allergic are available. Take the medicine with your doctor’s prescription.

If you are affected by the eye flu, wash your hands with soap properly and don’t rub your eyes. Most of the cases of eye flu can be treated within 7 to 14 days of treatment without any long term consequences.
